Atelier du mochi

Mathilde and Joris are a couple who decided to change their lifestyle after 10 years together. Together they launched a project around their shared love: Japanese pâtisserie.
After delving into a range of different cultures and culinary specialities, they fell in love with Japan during a trip in 2013.
They got to know mochi cakes and learned traditional recipes. Back in France, the young couple wanted to share them with as many people as possible.
This desire gave rise to the Atelier du Mochi in 2019. The workshop became a shop in 2020 in Aix-en-Provence, the very first dedicated to the world of home-made, Provençal mochi ice cream.

A love that takes creative shape in the workshop. 100% traditional and local delicacies, the fruits of a production laboratory located below the Aix shop. They carefully select their ingredients, which all come from the south of France.
